Creating a New Form in a Workfile

Follow the steps below when creating a new Form Letter in a workfile. Forms letters created in a workfile are not added to your repair facility profile. Once forms are created, they appear in the workfile Forms tab. Select the form, then select an action.

Selecting Edit allows you to make changes to a Draft form only.

To create a new form

  1. Open the workfile, and select the Forms tab.
  2. Select New Form Letter from the toolbar. The New Form Letter screen opens.
  3. Select a form Form Letter template from the Template droplist. You can also create a form letter from scratch without selecting a template.
  1. Place your cursor in the Form Letter body and enter text information.
  2. Select fields from the Insert Field droplist. The selected field will appear in blue where your cursor is located in the form.

Note: When selecting Insert Field, the workfile information is represented as a value in bracketed blue text (e.g., <Insurance.CompanyName> represents the Insurance Company value located in the Insurance tab).

  1. Use the toolbar buttons to perform these actions:
  1. The Save and Print action provides three options to communicate the form. Simply check which method(s) you want to use in the Print dialog screen and click OK.
